Field Manual
The Lettuce Lifecycle
01
Sow
Press lettuce seed into soil roughly a quarter inch deep. Trust the seed. It knows what it is.
02
Water
Keep soil consistently moist. Lettuce is 95% water and has strong opinions about the remaining 5%.
03
Thin
Remove weaker seedlings so the strong may flourish. This is the only violence we condone.
04
Harvest
Cut at the base once heads feel firm. Do so with the solemnity the occasion demands.
